Summer is officially the

Season for Squeezin’

Don’t wait until fall to perform a breast self-exam. Give your boobs a squeeze every time you put on your swimwear this summer.

It could save your life.

If you feel anything, make the pledge to make a doctor’s appointment before the next time you suit up!

How a bathing suit saved my life…

Hi, I’m Julie, founder of Season for Squeezin’

In late 2022, I discovered a small, barbell-shaped tiny in my breast while putting on my bathing suit. A few weeks later I was diagnosed with HER2+ invasive ductal carcinoma—Stage 3 breast cancer.

If not for my love of swimming and the ocean (and my constant changing in and out of bathing suits!), I might never have discovered this tiny little growth. And that got me thinking:

Why do we wait until October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) to talk about breast cancer when summer is when boobs really get to have their time in the sun—literally. Summer is the perfect season for taking breast cancer action.

Squeeze like your life depends on it

Because if you’re a woman in the U.S., there's a 1 in 8 chance that it does. That’s the American Cancer Society’s estimated breast cancer rate for 2023.

Chances are you know someone who has breast cancer—even if they don't know it yet themselves. That's why self-exams are so important. And that’s why I launched Season for Squeezin’.
